ITA: Un cane arruffato diventa inconsapevole pretesto dell’incontro di due umanità disordinate e precarie. Morso dall’animale, Oscar (Sergio Castellitto), avvocato burbero sempre alla ricerca di spunti truffaldini, vuole trarre profitto dall’incidente e fare causa al malcapitato proprietario, Armando (Rocco Papaleo).
Quando però lo scaltro avvocato scopre che Armando è in realtà un povero disgraziato appena uscito di galera dopo aver ingiustamente scontato una pena di 30 anni, l’obiettivo cambia e la posta in gioco si alza: perché non intentare una causa milionaria ai danni dello Stato?
Nel nome del riscatto, i due diventano detective alla ricerca di indizi e prove e nasce un’amicizia improbabile e divertente. Tra loro Carmen (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi), barista dall’animo sensibile con un passato insieme all’uno e un possibile futuro insieme all’altro…

FRA: Oscar (Sergio Castellitto), soixante ans, est un avocat raté qui, depuis la faillite, tente de survivre en organisant des escroqueries contre l’Etat, par exemple par la mise en scène d’un accident dans un trou ouvert dans la chaussée juste devant chez lui. Jusqu’à présent, ses tentatives échouent systématiquement, et finissent par se transformer en situations comiques. Armando (Rocco Papaleo), soixante ans également, est un homme bon, qui a grandi dans la pauvreté d’une banlieue. Aujourd’hui il sort de prison, après avoir purgé une longue peine pour un crime qu’il n’a pas commis. Après une nuit sous la pluie, où le seul témoignage d’affection qu’il reçoit est celui d’un chien errant qui ne le lâche plus d’une semelle, le matin suivant il entre dans un café pour se restaurer.

DEU: Ein zottiger Hund wird zum unfreiwilligen Auslöser eines Zusammenstosses zwischen zwei prekären menschlichen Existenzen. Der mürrische, zwielichtige Anwalt Oscar (Sergio Castellitto) wird von dem Hund gebissen und will aus diesem Zwischenfall Profit schlagen, indem er den Hundebesitzer Armando (Rocco Papaleo) verklagt.
